LionFish First Responders and Volunteer Appreciation Pot Luck – April 30

    Date: 04/30/2017

Time: 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm

“All Hands on Deck!” LionFish First Responders and Volunteer Appreciation Pot Luck Learn more about how you can stay connected with CORE on St. John as a lionfish hunter at the 1st annual LionFish First Responders Potluck at the Hawksnest Pavillion on Sunday, April 30th. Come, meet, greet and eat with other coral reef protectors and lionfish responders trained by CORE’s Frank Cummings. Frank has trained more than 100 volunteers to identifty, report and spear lionfish. You might be one of them – or maybe you want to be. This is the social event for you! We need to do more, and it starts with getting to know each other as a community on St. John. The phrase it ‘it takes a village’ has never been more appropriate when it comes to supressing the invasive lionfish population in and around Virgin Island waters. Friends of VI National Park supports the CORE organization on St. John in their persistent effort to supress the invasive lionfish population in our National Park waters. RSVP to this event post AND email Frank Cummings at: outreach@corevi.org to let us know what you will bring to the table!
