July 31 – The 7th Annual Virgin Island Billfish Tournament for Haiti

    Date: 07/31/2017

Time: 12:00 am to 12:00 am

The 7th Annual Virgin Island Billfish Tournament for Haiti will be held on July 31 – August 1, 2017 at American Yacht Harbor to benefit the Pere Basile Moreau School in Haiti. The captain’s meeting for the tournament is July 30, 2017. Due to the generosity of anglers and donors, the school has been rebuilt in coordination with the University of Notre Dame Architecture Department to insure quality design. We are now focusing on providing the best possible education, to students who will become the future hope of Haiti. Last year we helped fund the English language program as well as make additional improvements to the cafeteria and meeting rooms. Priorities this year include improving and expanding the literacy programs, and construction of a new section of classrooms at the school. Due to the new and repaired facilities, continued academic performance of the school, and recent investments in technology, health services, and other areas, there continues to be a great demand for admission to the school. The leadership hopes to grow enrollment to further serve the local needy communities, where education is a beacon to a better future, for the children and all of Haiti.
