Being born on St. John and having spent the better half of his life here, Captain Jason is knowledgeable of the marine life, natural history, and local tales of these islands. ABOUT THE BOAT
Island Roots, is a 25’ fuel efficient World Cat Power Catamaran operating out of St. John, USVI. The hull design and new twin 150HP Yamaha engines provide superior handling, stability, and speed to get you to the best sights and snorkel destinations around. The open deck offers plenty of room to relax on our newly installed cushioned seating in the bow and stern or find shade under the hard top in the front and rear facing co-pilot chair. There’s plenty of dry storage for your gear and a wet locker which holds complementary snorkel equipment for all sizes. The cooler is stocked with ice and plenty of bottled drinking water but there’s also room to bring along your own food and beverages if you choose. A large 3-step boarding ladder on the stern platform provides easy access in and out of the water throughout the day. Island Roots carries coast guard approved safety gear including life jackets (adult and children), VHF radio, fire extinguishers, charts, and a marine medical kit to keep you, your friends, and family safe while on the water.
