    Kareso Studio Acclaimed Virgin Island’s  artist Karen Samuel showcases her island-style folk art in a variety of mediums at her new gallery and gift shop Kareso Studio, located at Estate Eden, on the Coral Bay side of St.John.  The studio is filled with the artist’s original prints, paintings, tapestries, quilts, crafts, homemade preserves, local drinks and one of a kind hand made fashion line. In her fine art, Samuel utilizes a variety of media, including oils, graphite, pastels, and watercolor, to render the landscape and culture of her native home. Her work is found in several local, regional, and international collections and available for purchase at Kareso Studio, Bajo el Sol Gallery in Mongoose Junction, and That’s the Spirit, at Tortola’s Pier Park. She is the recipient of the Governor’s Excellence in the Arts award; the territory’s highest award for artists. Pirates Treasure: A Shipwreck Museum and Store Set sail and discover the Pirates Treasure Museum! Experience hands-on, interactive exhibits that share the tales and treasures of deep-ocean exploration. Visitors will delve into a fascinating bounty of pirate legend and historical fact and re-live the heroic passenger accounts of surviving storm-tossed seas and sinking ships. Climb aboard and prepare for an exciting journey through an engaging and family friendly shipwreck adventure. The Pirates Treasure is a Shipwreck Museum born of the combined passions of two Virgin Island companies, CD Paradise Management and Prosperitas Investment Management. Showcasing authentic artifacts and treasures from the world-famous deep-ocean discoveries of Odyssey Marine Exploration, the museum also highlights Virgin Islands shipwrecks and artifacts. The two-story museum incorporates history and interactive exhibits to immerse visitors in the world of pirates and the deep-ocean exploration technology used to recover treasures that were once thought lost forever. These stories and artifacts offer insight and a physical connection to the Caribbean and the world, as it was hundreds or even thousands of year ago!
