Our guests enjoy local specialties while touring historic down town Charlotte Amalie. We walk beyond the beaten path to find culinary hidden gems. Callaloo soup, tasty salt fish and freshly-made pate get the response we love to hear… “I never would have found this place… so glad we’re here.”
The two-plus hour tour is filled with fun facts about St. Thomas’ volcanic beginnings to the latest recommendations on beaches, attractions and shopping. Our guides love their jobs and it shows. Stories about our unique architecture, pirate and marine history abound. We recommend booking a tour at the start of your visit so we can help you plan the rest of your stay. The food tour begins at 10am, leaving plenty of time to hit the beach or do some shopping.
At one o’clock we offer our Taphaus (the Danish word for “beer garden”) Tour. The focus here is on the Island’s long history of rum making, starring local favorites like the Bushwacker, Pain Killer, Dark n’ Stormy and tastes of rums made on St. Thomas and St. Croix.
