What To Do VI is Under New Ownership

What To Do – VI has been sold to CD Paradise, an Economic Development Commission (EDC) member and business management and consulting firm with a depth of experience in the development and marketing of businesses, including Virgin Islands business services. Outside of the EDC, CD Paradise built the Pirates Treasure Museum in Havensight, acquired the Greathouse and Blue Orchid in April 2016, recently acquired the Al Cohens Mall in Havensight, and have just opened a new restaurant at the Mall named Azul Cafe.

CD Paradise’s acquisition of What To Do – VI aligns with its mission to promote VI tourism and culture and to help small Virgin Islands businesses thrive. Under this new ownership, What To Do – VI will be managed by St. Thomas resident and CD Paradise’s director of marketing, Alison Hastings.

What This Means For Businesses

What To Do – VI’s primary mission to publish real Virgin Islands stories by real Virgin Islands people will continue under the stewardship of CD Paradise. Since What To Do – VI’s inception, over 150,000 residents and visitors have visited our online tourism magazine, directory of businesses, events calendar, and authentic, culturally relevant articles written by local contributors.

With the financial and management power, and most importantly, the exemplary people of CD Paradise behind What To Do – VI: The People-Powered Guide to the Virgin Islands, you can expect exciting new writers and developments in the areas of website design, multimedia content, new booking services, and greatly increased visibility for VI businesses through ever-rising website traffic.

CD Paradise will continue to offer digital marketing services, including content marketing, business profiles, event listings to local businesses, and other Virgin Islands business services.

What This Means To Visitors

What To Do – VI writers and contributors, new and old, will seek out unique and comprehensive vacation itineraries for families, couples, party animals, seniors, and adventure travelers. The website will continue to offer the ultimate guides to accommodations, dining, shopping, and transportation for every budget and travel style, plus practical advice on everything from what to pack to cell phone coverage. Educating and informing our islands’ guests about our local customs and culture is the pride of What To Do – VI.

Come Back To The Virgin Islands

Although the memory of the experiences and devastation of hurricanes Irma and Maria will always remain, the resilient people of the islands welcome back the tide of visitors with heartfelt gratitude. It’s an exciting time of transition and discovery.

The water is blue, the breezes warm, the mountains green, and new businesses and attractions are opening in unprecedented numbers. Even regular island visitors will find surprises around every corner.

The creators of What To Do – VI enthusiastically offer congratulations to the team at CD Paradise. We put our trust in your capable hands and know that What To Do – VI will flourish and grow alongside our beloved Virgin Islands.

With our eyes turned toward an exciting future, join me in welcoming the new team at What To Do – VI.

From developing a business concept, to working on a team planning the construction development, to operational and management practices, and her favorite–developing and implementing marketing strategies—Alison has a love for the whole process and is excited to apply it to businesses with What to Do VI.
